2005 – 2011: New Zealand

2011 – 2021: The Knudsen Clinic (Australia) and Auckland Hair Clinic (New Zealand)

Hair restoration practice under the mentorship of Dr Russell Knudsen, performing FUE and FUT procedures across the clinics' Australian and New Zealand locations.

2021 – present: Atlantis Medical, Melbourne

Founder and Clinical Director of Atlantis Medical, established in 2021 as a dedicated hair restoration practice. Atlantis Medical operates a single-patient-per-day procedural model, with Dr Jayaprakash personally performing all stages of every procedure.

Clinical Practice

Dr Jayaprakash has performed over 3,000 hair restoration procedures. He performs both Follicular Unit Excision (FUE) and Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) procedures and assesses each patient individually to determine the most appropriate technique. The Atlantis Medical practice model allocates one full operating day to a single patient, with Dr Jayaprakash personally performing graft extraction, recipient site creation, and graft placement.

Procedure selection is based on hair loss pattern, donor characteristics, projected progression, lifestyle considerations, and the patient's stated goals. Not all patients are considered suitable candidates for procedural intervention; medical management is recommended where appropriate.

Dr Vikram Jayaprakash is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), registration number MED0001926843.
